Contract execution with "Palmali" for Inmarsat broadband communication services

As part of «Transport Week -2012» organized by the Ministry of Transport of Russia, during the VI International Exhibition «Transport of Russia», FSUE «Morsvyazsputnik» and the company «Palmali» (Palmali Gemicilik ve Acentelik AS), Turkey signed a contract for the provision of mobile satellite Broadband Inmarsat system for vessels of «Palmali».

32nd session of the IMSO Advisory committee

On December 3, 2012 in London (Great Britain) in headquarters of International Maritime Organization (IMO) there took place the 32nd session of the IMSO Advisory committee. There were representatives of 33 member states of the IMSO Advisory committee at session: Algeria, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Cyprus, France, Ghana, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Liberia, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, the Marshall Islands, Morocco, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Fillipin, Poland, the Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, Great Britain, the United States of America, Vanuatu, and also representatives of Egypt, Japan, Senegal, Switzerland and Venezuela, International Maritime Organization, the European commission, as observers. Federal State Unitary Enterprise Morsvyazsputnik took part in committee work as a part of the Russian delegation.

There was a discussions about results of the 31st session of the IMSO Advisory committee, results of the 22nd session of Assembly of IMSO, activity of IMSO CEO, IMSO 2012-2014 budgets, questions connected with the Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS) and System of an identification of vessels and tracking them in a long distance. 

The IMSO advisory committee discussed questions of functioning of system Inmarsat entering into GMDSS. It was confirmed that the specified system continues to carry out the function within GMDSS. The IMSO advisory committee noted effective and successful work of IMSO CEO connected with System of an identification of vessels and tracking them in a long distance.

The VI international Forum "Transport of Russia" exhibition began to work

The VI international Forum «Transport of Russia» exhibition began to work on December 6 in Gostini dvor within Transport week-2012.

The branch enterprises, including jurisdictional enterprises of Rosmorrechflot, are widely presented at the Transport of Russia exhibition.

Within solemn opening of an exhibition their stands were visited by the head of Administration of the President of the Russian Federation S. B. Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia A. V. Dvorkovich, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation M.Yu.Sokolov.

At an exhibition, in the presence of distinguished guests, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Morsvyazsputnik and the Palmali company (Palmali Gemicilik ve Acentelik AS), Turkey signed the contract on service of mobile satellite broadband communication of system Inmarsat for Palmali company vessels.

LES 015 Closure

At midnight on 31 December 2012, the Land Earth Station (LES) 015, FSUE Morzviasputnik will be ceasing operations.

After this time, it will no longer be possible to route through this LES. Devices that have not updated their settings will no longer be able to successfully complete a connection.

Services affected: Inmarsat M/B and Mini-M terminals

If you or any of your customers are using these services via this LES 015, it is strongly recommended to complete changes you may find in our knoledgebase in order to reconfigure your equipment

Landing of the spacecraft "TMA-05M Soyuz" on November 19, 2012 in the territory of Kazakhstan

«TMA-05M Soyuz» spacecraft made a successful landing and retrieve participants of the thirty third expedition on the International space station to the Earth.
To define the trajectory of descent and the place of landing of spacecraft was used onboard experimental equipment on the basis of a serial radio beacon of System of COSPAS-SARSAT.
The coordinates of location received by the International coordination computer center (Federal State Unitary Enterprise Morsvyazsputnik) were transferred to the Main aviation coordination center of search and FBU rescue» Service of uniform system of aerospace search and rescue».
Determination results of location and temporary characteristics of spacecraft confirmed reliable work of COSPAS-SARSAT system.
